Toronto MFA Meet and Greet scheduled for November 12

October 19, 2018

King’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction may be still relatively new, but 19 of our graduates already have book contracts! And some of our writers have won major awards for their books!

Would you like to learn more about Canada’s only Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction degree program?

The MFA in Creative Nonfiction — a two-year limited-residency program offered jointly by Halifax’s Dalhousie University and the University of King’s College — allows students to combine short, intense residencies in Halifax, Toronto and New York with ongoing one-to-one mentoring with professional nonfiction writers and teachers. At the end of two years, students graduate with a degree, a polished book proposal, and a substantial portion of a finished manuscript.

Intrigued?

We’ll be holding our annual Toronto Meet and Greet for interested potential students on November 12, 2018 (Details below).

It will be an opportunity to meet and talk informally with the program’s faculty, mentors, students and alumni, as well as with members of our national advisory board, who include editors at major international book publishers, and award-winning authors and journalists. And, of course, you can enjoy a little wine and a few nibbles while you consider whether this is the program for you…

To reserve your place at the Meet and Greet, please email the program’s executive director, Kimberly Pittaway.

The program is now accepting applications for the 2019-20 academic year. For more information or to apply, click here.
