King’s MFA Meet & Greets: Find your inner book

MFA students meet with HarperCollins Canada editors, January 2020.
If you have an idea for a nonfiction book, the University of King’s College Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction program can help you get it onto the page—from wherever you live.
Come hear about the MFA in Creative Nonfiction offered jointly by Dalhousie University and the University of King’s College. This two-year limited-residency program allows you to combine short, intense, on-campus sessions (pandemic permitting) with ongoing one-to-one mentoring by professional nonfiction writers, editors and teachers.
The program includes two June residencies in Halifax and two January intensives featuring key publishing and editing players from Toronto and New York, North America’s leading publishing centres.
At the Meet & Greet, you’ll have the opportunity to speak with faculty, mentors, alumni and current students, to get the full story on getting your story onto the page.
We are offering three Zoom Meet & Greet sessions timed to permit participation from attendees across the country:
- Central Canada: Monday, November 1 at 7:00 pm Eastern time
- Atlantic Canada: Tuesday, November 2 at 7:00 pm Atlantic time
- Western Canada: Sunday, November 7 at 4:00 pm Pacific time
You may attend any session that suits your schedule, and the sessions are free, but you must RSVP to kim.pittaway@ukings.ca, using the subject line “MFA Meet & Greet” to be placed on the guest list and provided with Zoom link. Please indicate which session you would like to attend.
