Halifax MFA Meet and Greet February 20

February 9, 2018

King’s Master of Fine Arts in in Creative Nonfiction may be still relatively new, but 13 of our students and graduates already have book contracts! And there are more to come.

Would you like to learn more about Canada’s only Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction degree program?

The MFA in Creative Nonfiction — a two-year limited-residency program offered jointly by Halifax’s Dalhousie University and the University of King’s College — allows students to combine short, intense residencies in Halifax, Toronto and New York with ongoing one-to-one mentoring with professional nonfiction writers, editors and teachers. At the end of two years, students graduate with a degree, a polished book proposal, and a substantial portion of a finished manuscript.

Intrigued?

We’ll be holding our annual Halifax Meet and Greet for interested potential students on February 20, 2018 (Details below).

It will be an opportunity to meet and talk informally with the program’s faculty, mentors, students and alumni. And, of course, you can enjoy a little wine and a few nibbles while you consider whether this is the program for you…

To reserve your place at the Meet and Greet, please email the program’s executive director, Kim Pittaway.

The program is now accepting applications for the 2018-19 academic year. Classes begin August 6, 2018 in Halifax. For more information or to apply, click here.
