Module 2–MONDAY AFTERNOON, June 21
Pivot tables are a powerful Excel feature that allow us to quickly summarize data to find patterns and trends that suggest news stories. This afternoon, David continues his discussion of hate crime data and in this this video, you will learn how to use pivot tables to group the hate-crime data by municipalities to compare the number of incidents and rates.
From the textbook: See pages 69 to 73 of the The Data Journalist for a discussion of pivot tables.
There is also a tutorial on pivot tables on the the companion website at https://learninglink.oup.com/access/vallance-jones-student-resources#tag_chapter-04
