Data journalism at King’s
King’s is a great place to learn the tools and techniques of data journalism. Data is at the core of the master of journalism in data and investigative journalism and we offer Canada’s oldest and most comprehensive professional data training in the summer data schools.
In our masters program, you’ll learn how to find data, analyze it with commonly available tools, map it, visualize it and create complete investigative data packages. The focus is on both the computer skills and the intellectual practice of journalism. You’ll not only read the textbook, you’ll learn from the people who wrote the textbook.
The summer schools provide intensive instruction for working journalists, students and others who want to communicate using data. With a full week of full days, you’ll have time to master the skills, so you can put them to work.
